Reservations
Now accepting reservations for outdoor dining through Resy! Click the tab in the menu to check out availability.
Walk-in's always welcome!
We ask that you kindly honor the time of your reservation — we have a 15 minute grace period for your arrival, but due to the size of our sidewalk cafe and social distancing guidelines, we are unable to accommodate any increases in party size or change in reservation time. We allocate about one hour and 30 minutes for most reservations, and do not reserve tables for just drinks.
WE DO NOT CHARGE CANCELLATION FEES IN THE CASE OF INCLEMENT WEATHER, so feel free to cancel on your own through Resy if the weather is discouraging you. This will not trigger an automatic charge.

HCH Outdoor Dining Tips
We're New Yorkers. And that means we're resilient, adaptable and will do whatever it takes to enjoy our favorite bottle of wine and a raw bar tower in any weather! But let's face it, it's cold outside. Here's what Happy Cooking recommends to make the most of the outdoor dining Winter season:
ALL the Heattech
We're not sponsored by Uniqlo, but ask our General Manager, Ed Torres, and he'll tell you that heattech attire (leggings, shirts, socks, you name it) will save your social life this Winter.
Layers. Lots of Layers
Our heaters are powerful but you'll still need to bundle up if you're sitting for a meal. The most important layer is your beer (or wine, or whisky) coat. Erin Palisin, Director of Operations, claims if you're from the Midwest you should know what that means.
Hot Beverages
We've got em'. Just ask! Our Head Bartender, Matthew Hunter, has created a hot cider that will make you wish it's cold all year long!
Or if red wine is your stay warm beverage of choice, Aaron Thorp (resident wine guru) has plenty of options for every budget, mood and meal on the list!
Winter Dishes
The JL menu is known for being comforting and cozy, so we're already ahead of the curve on this one! We like to order a crock of French Onion Soup and then share a Steak and Roast Chicken. Fun for the whole family!
The Weather
Please be aware of the weather on the day of your visit! It's sweater weather season, so please come dressed in warm clothes. Most of our outdoor tables are protected by partially enclosed vestibules, but we're keeping it safe with the air still flowing. There are heaters spaced throughout the vestibule but are not positioned over every single table.
It's cozy and the heaters heat, but don't forget to bundle up and order one of our hot cocktails to keep you comfy!
Remember, we do not charge a cancellation fee for inclement weather. Just please give us a heads up! You can also cancel directly through the Resy app (an auto charge won't be triggered, no worries there).
